Embarking on this literary journey serves a profound purpose for me. My decision to share my personal narrative is rooted in a desire to inspire readers to unearth their voices, surmount challenges, and always recognize that solidarity prevails even in the darkest moments.

The urgent message resounding through these pages is clear: Violence has no place in the workplace, and we must collectively declare that it is an Occupational Hazard. This is a pervasive issue, a global epedimic that demands attention. Healthcare professionals deserve safe working environments, and the time to say “Enough is Enough!!!” has arrived.

My own harrowing experience of enduring a decade of domestic violence, followed by a violent attack in the workplace, has ignited a fervent commitment within me to bring awareness to the perverted issue of violence, and to promote mental health awareness. It is crucial to ensure their rights are not just acknowledged but fiercely protected. Far too often, the specter of abuse and violence disproportionately shadows the lives of women – mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, nieces, grandmothers, friends, colleagues, and co-workers.

I am Natasha Poirier, an ( RN, BSN ) specializing in Mental Health and Nurse Management, with an extensive 28-year career in nursing. My journey spans various sectors, from private industry and self-employment to government agencies and contract work. Throughout, I have been an ardent advocate for change within the healthcare system.

Within the pages of this memoir, I share my thoughts, memories, and insights on navigating diverse systems to seek justice. This goes beyond the realm of legal justice; it extends to the broader pursuit of social justice.

To my cherished readers: Your feedback, in the form of a review, would be the ultimate tribute. Whether it echoes with positivity or constructive critique, each review holds profound significance. I am sincerely honored by the prospect of hearing from each and every one of you.
